Hello from North Dakota

This past Sunday, I started the drive to North Dakota with my parents. The 1700 mile drive took us three days, with a short stop at the Mall of America in Minneapolis. We arrived Tuesday evening in Grand Forks, ND, which is where my new apartment was waiting. My parents flew back home today after spending some time here and in Bismarck. A fun time was had by all and I'm looking forward to living and working here.

Happy Memorial Day!

Just a friendly reminder to keep those who have died protecting our country in our thoughts today. Also, I've added some new work and there's a bunch more coming.

New Site Design

I just decided to redesign the site a bit, just for fun and for some HTML/CSS practice. Take a look around and let me know what you think. More and more work is being added every day, so check back soon.

Campus Recreation Site gets award

The redesign of the Northeastern University Campus Recreation website has won one of the Creative Excellence Awards from NIRSA, the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association. First place went to University of Texas at Austin, so it was nice to be up there with some big schools. Here's the release from the Campus Recreation website:

Brian Nelson and Christian Gilbert, Northeastern undergraduate students and employees of Campus Recreation, were presented with three Creative Excellence Awards from the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association on April 5, 2008. Their work won second place for the Campus Recreation website (first place was won by the University of Texas at Austin, third place was won by the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities), third place for an Intramural Sports programming publication, and an honorable mention for their Integrated Marketing Campaign.

Brian and Christian were assisted by Omar Rouhana and Jack Butler.
